The conference will be held on Friday, June 7, 2013 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m) at the University’s Bone Student Center.
The conference, which is jointly sponsored by Illinois State University and the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services
(DCFS) will offer 12 workshops related to child and family well being as well as strategies for addressing racial disparities in the Illinois foster care system.

National experts will share their research and offer practical strategies to engage community stakeholders in the effort to support families whose children are at risk of entering foster care.
This event is FREE of CHARGE and open to All ISU faculty, staff, students, and the community at large.
This statewide conference will also include student poster presentations, multicultural vendors and artists, a foster and adoptive parent recruitment booth and an afternoon cultural presentation.
